look into the human experience through the

The Keyhole Theatre Company is a cooperative of artists from Louisville and southern Indiana, committed to producing the highest quality new and classic works of comedy and drama.

We take keyhole sized looks into aspects of the human experience and present them as unconventional theatrical experiences.

A keyhole can be a portal into another world or a barrier to keep you out. It all depends on how you approach it. Did you bring your key?

About

The beginning

During the time of the Covid 19 pandemic when stages worldwide went dark, many theatre artists were left with nothing but time on our hands. The Keyhole Theatre Company grew out of thoughts during that time of "what would we do if we had a theatre company?"

One thing we agreed upon was doing challenging, unconventional work. The second thing was pulling the southern Indiana and Louisville area local theater community together.

Emboldened, we determined to mount a unique production to make theatre come alive again, and to establish our own artistic voice. That would be our beginning, but we also had another tenet to follow, and that was to bring the local theatre community together.
